A
few reasons to choose our holiday cottages
- All
cleaning is done by us personally (achieved 100% on cleanliness in assessment) not by
you at end of stay, as some providers require.
Very
well equipped confirmed by past visitors, e.g. Freeview Smart Satellite
Receivers with catchup TV and other apps (links to WiFi, DVD
player and free 40mb+ Wi-Fi access.
- We can
book Wightlink and Redfunnel ferries at discounted rates.
- All
linen, towels (except beach towels), tea towel, etc included.
- All
hand soaps, shower soap and washing up liquid included.
- All
cleaning materials for use during stay included.
- Pepper
(powder & black peppercorns for supplied grinder) , salt, pepper,
plastic food bags, foil and cling film all
included and much more.
- Easy
walking distance to pub with restaurant , village food shop /
post office, newsagents / licensed cafe / takeaway food,
hair dresser's, doctors
surgery and dispensary, small library and local history museum.
- ECO Gold Awarded 2008/9 (organisation now
defunct).
- A
wonderful location sheltered under downs, with the coast and beaches in
front (1 mile by car, less walking) in an Area Of Outstanding Natural
Beauty (AONB) and Heritage Coast, National Trust owns much of coast and
forest on downs behind us. Yet still in a rural village which has won
Isle of Wight best village award regularly - ideal self catering
holiday.
- Great
local facilities such as beaches like Compton Bay, the nearest beaches
are just down from the centre of the village where the road goes to the
coast, downs just above have beautiful views west and across the
Solent (north), and forest walks and bronze age burial mounds at the
top.
- If you
arrive early you can drop off car or some luggage, as long as we can
still get around to clean and it is after previous guests have left
which should be 10am.
- In
cold weather we preheat Carriers Stable.
